Affordable Housing Solutions
for Individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities
QHC Housing Development Program (HDP) partners with several Regional Centers in LA County to increase the available number of affordable housing units for individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities using development strategies including: (1) securing set-aside units within large multi-family affordable housing projects; (2) acquiring and renovating small apartment buildings; and (3) developing modular housing units on vacant residential lots.
QHC Housing Services Program (HSP) provides direct assistance and ongoing support to individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities in (1) accessing and securing affordable housing and community resources for independent living within their community of choice; and (2) helping maintain and ensuring a successful long-term community living experience.
QHC Technical Assistance Collaborative (TAC) provides support to Regional Center partner agencies (i.e. government entities, community organizations, service providers, advisory committees, etc.) engaged in activities related to Affordable Housing Development, Home & Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver Programs, and Community Integration & Supports. Primary areas of focus include: (1) Strategic Planning; (2) Program Development & Implementation; and (3) Capacity Building & Training.
